We have openings for people with solid housing experience who are eager to share their knowledge and skills with us in any of the following roles: carpenters, framers, drywall installers, roofers, siding installers, insulation installers, window and door installers, finish carpenters, sub-assemblers, forklift driver/line feeders and various positions in our new cabinet shop.

We are currently seeking a CNC & Edgebander Operator

Are you a skilled plumber looking for a change from the everyday? Are you game to think differently about home construction? Are you keen to work inside, away from the elements of the outdoors – all year round?  Well, we’re hiring! 

We’re Prestige Homes - a proud manufacturer of modular homes since 1973. And we have an immediate opening for a plumber with solid experience.  Bottom line, we love building homes. In fact, we've built over 13,000 of them in our 40+ year history. And if you love building homes like us, we want to hear from you.

Qualifications:
• Education Required: Trade Certification or Associate's Degree
• Years of Experience Required: 2-5+ years
• Capable of operating various CNC machines relevant to this trade
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and good understanding of part specifications
• Knowledge of machining principals, tooling, fixtures, and tool set up to produce precision parts to shape parts in accordance with safety, quality, and operations standards
• Mozaik software experience would be considered an asset
• Competence in operation of 3 axis router table
• Ability to program machines with conversational programming controls as well as knowledge of G and M code format
Responsibilities:
1. Setting up and operating CNC router table
2. Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts to shape parts in accordance with safety, quality, and operations standards
3. Team player who requires minimum supervision
4. Operate hand tools and precision measuring devices
5. Read and interpret production documentation including blueprints
6. Maintain production schedules
7. Recognize and communicate areas to improve, to the lead-hands
8. Maintain a safe and clean work environment
9. Provide excellent customer service
10. Operate edgebander machine
11. Do basic maintenance and daily cleanup of machine and work area

Requirements:
• A college diploma in wood working or equivalent work experience will be considered.
• Must have knowledge of cabinet manufacturing
• Knowledge of the manufacturing industry would be considered an asset.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
• Strong computer skills
• Strong and accurate math skills
• Ability to follow written instructions in English
• Strong teamwork values and a positive attitude.
